I am a full-time potter living in Charlottesville, Virginia, and I own a gallery as well: The Barn Swallow Gallery.

I strive to balance the making of pots with the goal of selling my works through the gallery. I always keep in mind form as well as function. What makes me want to pick up a vessel, and decide that its “fit” is right, as well as being visually desirable? Critics in Art School always stressed that the back of a piece is as important as the front. I’ve always carried those words as I create a vessel that I hope others will want to hold and to use.
