Studio 1 Christina Boy Design

Christina Boy designs and builds one-of-a-kind and custom furniture and home goods. Cindy Liebel will curate a collection of fine jewelry, including one-of-a-kind pieces. Krissy Maier creates one of a kind bags created with upcycled leather and vintage belts.

Directions:  From Rt.15: Turn onto 614 - Twymans Mill Road - after 2 miles turn right onto 706 - Turner Driver. The turn to the studio is ½ mile down Turner Drive - take it all the way to the end. The studio is in the big red outbuilding.
From Rt.29: From Rte 29, take 230/231 Orange Rd towards Orange; in 3.2 miles turn left on 607 Elly Rd; in 2.3 miles turn right on 614 John Tucker Rd; in 2.3 miles turn left on 614 Twymans Mill Rd; in 0.6 miles turn left onto Turner Dr. In ½ mile, turn left in front of mailboxes and take drive to the end. Studio 2  Phineas Rose Studios

Phineas Rose Studios is the workshop and furniture showroom of Alec and Richard Gordon and the jewelry showroom of Ninika Gordon. Richard Gordon and Alec Gordon will demonstrate hand joinery and display their latest furniture. Ninika Gordon will display her latest jewelry designs. Karis Swink Barry will display wheel thrown porcelain with engobe and sgraffito surface decoration.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take Rte 29N to Rte 230W 4 miles to Wolftown. Turn right on Graves Mill Rd (Rte 662). In 1 mile on right see sign for Phineas Rose Wood Joinery. Google Maps link 


Studio 3  Noon Whistle Pottery

Holly Horan crafts pottery by hand to enhance the pleasure of serving and eating food. John Pluta displays harmlessly peculiar sculptures.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take Rte 29N 13 miles; turn left on Rte 33W. Continue 5 miles; turn right on Business Rte 33, which turns into Main St. Shop is 1.5 miles on left. Google Maps link 


Studio 4   Mud Dauber Pottery

Suzanne Crane will show her botanically-inspired fine stoneware pieces, as well as a new line of functional planters, vases, and bird baths. Becky Garrity makes pots for everyday use including lamps… all aesthetically pleasing and functional. Laurie Duxbury will share her love of color with her finely woven scarves.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take Rte 29N to Airport Rd. Turn left on Airport Rd to roundabout. Take Dickerson Rd (Rte 606S) from roundabout toward Earlysville Rd. At next roundabout, go right on Earlysville Rd (Rte 743). Studio is 0.4 mile past Earlysville Auto on right.Google Maps link 


Studio 5 The Muddy Rabbit Pottery

Shari Jacobs creates wheel-thrown porcelain and stoneware pottery with a rustic, yet refined, aesthetic. Katherine Maloney will display animal inspired sculptural ceramics, both artistic and functional.

Directions: From Charlottesville, head north on Rte. 29 and turn left on Hydraulic Rd. Drive 1.8 miles and turn left on Earlysville Rd. In about 3.8 miles, enter the traffic circle and take the second exit to stay on Earlysville Rd. In 2.6 miles, keep left to go onto Buck Mountain Rd. Follow Buck Mountain 1.8 miles and turn right onto Markwood Rd. In 1.3 miles, turn left on Spring Lake Dr. The house is 0.2 miles down on the right. Studio 6   Blaise Gaston

Blaise Gaston builds beautiful, sensuous furniture and the occasional staircase. Jan Elmore will exhibit mixed media and wood sculptures. Nancy Ross throws and alters functional and sculptural pottery for daily living.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take Rte 29N to Hydraulic Rd (Rte 743); turn left at light. Go 1.7 miles; turn left at Earlysville Rd (Rte 743). Go 0.7 mile to Woodlands Rd (Rte 676); turn left. Studio 7 Things Clay and Wool

Abigail Treece is a multidisciplinary artist. She makes functional ceramics and tufted pillows and rugs.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take 29N for about 10 miles. Turn right onto Burnley Station, then immediately turn right onto Watts Passage. In 0.8 miles turn left on Mclane Rd. The studio is located at the green house in the middle of the cul de sac. Google Maps link


Studio 8 Hean Cabinetry

Fred Hean will show artful handmade furniture, household accessories, and wall art. Judith Ligon will display polymer clay cane work wearable art, vessels and 2-D work.

Directions: From Rte 250 east of Free Bridge, take Rte 20N. Then go 4 miles, and turn right on Lonesome Mt. Rd. (Rte 610). Go 1.25 miles to mailbox 3226 on left. Park there or down driveway at studio. Google Map link

Studio 9  Laura Vik Pottery

Laura Vik will show functional pieces created using wheel and hand thrown techniques.

Directions: Going north on 29 take the Rio Road exit heading east. Turn Right onto Greenbrier Dr. Then take the first right onto Brook Rd. 2410 Brook Rd is the 2nd house on the right. From 250 west, take Hydraulic Rd exit and then your first right onto Brandywine. At the three way stop, continue strait onto Greenbrier Drive. At the stop sign, turn left (remaining on Greenbrier Dr). Take the next left onto Brook Rd. 2410 Brook Rd is the 2nd house on the right. Google Maps link 


Studio 10   Nan Rothwell Pottery Studio

Nan Rothwell makes functional stoneware pottery. 2024 will be Nan’s final year on the Tour, as she is closing her business at year’s end.  Sarah Grace Cheek makes functional and sculptural wooden works of art.

Directions: From Rte 250 in Charlottesville, take the Park St exit. Head north. Take the third right on North Ave, then take an immediate left on Wilder Dr. Studio is at the end of Wilder Dr on the right. Park on neighborhood streets (not blocking neighbors’ driveways, please). Google Maps link

Fred Dodson will display a selection of originally designed fine furniture and cabinetry.

Directions: Take Rt. 250 east from Rt. 29. Take the McIntire Road Exit. Turn right on MacIntire Road. Turn Right onto Harris Street. Turn Right onto Allied Street, pass Circa and Cville Coffee. My shop is at the end of the first block on the left. Google Maps link


Studio 12 City Clay

Randy Bill pottery and sculptural ceramics using wheel thrown, hand built, and carved forms from solid blocks of clay. Jane Angelhart makes graphic ceramic pieces to tickle her funnybone and satisfy her curiosity. Ninni Baeckstrom is exhibiting stoneware sculptures, everything from a portrait of a princess to a dog in a party hat.

Directions: From Rt 29 South take the 250 bypass East toward Richmond. Take the exit for MacIntire Rd and turn right at the light. Take the next right onto Harris Street. Turn left onto Dale Ave. and then left into the parking lot for the Silk Mills building. Google Maps link

Lotta Helleberg shares nature-inspired wall hangings, handmade artist books, and other fiber-related objects. Patrick Gibson will display contemporary ceramics designed for everyday enjoyment.

Directions: From Rte 250 in Charlottesville, take the Park St. exit, go south towards downtown for 0.3 miles; the studio is the first house on the right hand side, after First Baptist Church. Mia van Beek, a master goldsmith, creates contemporary jewelry in precious metals and gemstones, inspired by her Scandinavian heritage. Susan Haas displays blown glass pieces that call to mind lazy days at the beach.

Gabriel Ofiesh presents gold and silver jewelry with cabochon gems and pearls, and his patented Orbit collection.

Directions: From Rte 250 in Charlottesville, take the Park St exit south toward downtown. At the stoplight at Park and High, take a left. Tavia Brown’s industrial yet delicate jewelry accents your daily life with beauty and an edge that celebrates your grit. Alejandra Gonzalez is an emerging jewelry artist, her work is characterized by asymmetrical shapes, elegant compositions, and a minimalistic approach. Rani Morris creates whimsical fine jewelry inspired by travel, nature, and historical art. Danielle Stevens creates bespoke heirloom jewelry, sustainably handcrafted, capturing emotional stories with timeless elegance.

Directions: From Rte 250 in Charlottesville, turn on High St (Rte 20S). At stoplight, take left on Meade Ave. At next light, turn left on E. Market St.; studio is in brick building on right. Park at rear of building. Walk up ramp of loading dock to fourth door: “Malleable Studios.”

Studio 17 Howe Pottery

At Short 18th Studio, Mary Cassell produces unique, artistically designed pots from local stoneware clays with traditional Japanese glazes.

Directions:From Rte 250 in Charlottesville, turn on High St (Rte 20S). At stoplight, take left on Meade Ave. Turn left on Chesapeake, left on 18th. Park near Short 18th St. Do not enter Short 18th St by car. It is a dead end with no turnaround. Park and walk (300 yards) from 18th to end of Short 18th St. Google Maps link

Tom Clarkson will show wheel thrown and hand built pottery with ash glazes.

Directions: From Rte 250 in Charlottesville, turn on High St. (Rte 20S). At stoplight, take left on Meade Ave. Turn right on Little High St., right on 13th St., and left on Meriwether St.; park on street near 2nd driveway on right. Walk to studio at end of driveway.

Studio 20   Mary Beth Bellah, Quilt Artist

Mary Beth Bellah incorporates traditional and non-traditional materials in her unique 3-dimensional and wall-hung art quilts. Steve Palmer will display ceramic pieces, both functional and artistic. Wendy Wrenn Werstlein of Wrenn Pottery, makes wheel thrown porcelain pottery for the home and table.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take Rte 29S toward Lynchburg. Approximately 3 miles after I-64 interchange, turn left on Rte 745 (Arrowhead Valley Rd). Go 1 mile, studio is on left. Parking available at top of driveway or along grassy area in meadow. Google Maps link

Alex Pettigrew will display fun and functional accessories for home and office crafted from fine Appalachian hardwoods.

Directions: From Charlottesville take Rte 29 south towards Lynchburg; 7½ miles south of I-64 turn right on to Rock Branch Lane (Rte 801). Follow signs and take gravel drive to the studio; park in grassy area along drive. Cars with handicap tags may drive directly to the studio, which is handicap-accessible, including the restroom. Noah Hughey-Commers makes functional wood fired dinnerware and vases. Adam McNeil displays functional ceramics finished in a high-fire wood kiln. 

Directions: From Charlottesville take Rte  29S about 30 miles to right on Ponton Lane (Rte 737) 5 miles past Rte 6W. From Lovingston take Rte 29N 3 miles to left on Ponton Lane (Rte 737). Go 0.5 mile and turn right at driveway marked 470. Go past first house, bearing left until you reach a field and parking. Google Maps link

Studio 23   CM Glass Art

Cherie Mehler specializes in kiln formed glass, including functional, artistic and outdoor pieces.

Directions: Take exit 107 (Crozet) from I-64. Head west on 250, toward Wintergreen. Greenwood Farm Road is located approximately 1.5 miles from the 64 interchange. It is across from a sign for Septenary winery. Take the first driveway to your right which is 160 Greenwood Farm. The studio is located down the hill from the driveway. Google Maps Link


Studio 24   The Barn Swallow

Janice Arone’s realm consists of wheel thrown and hand built clay vessels for the table and garden. Mary Ann Burk offers functional porcelain and stoneware inspired by forms and patterns found in nature. Liz Hanson is a contemporary fine jeweler specializing in timeless, heirloom designs with an eye toward minimalism.

Sarah Tremaine will be showing women's garments & accessories made using natural dyes, plant material, and natural fabrics & fibers. Cathy Vaughn will display copper patina leaf portraits, mirrors, and collage totems.

Directions: From Charlottesville, take Rte 250W. Bear right at Rte240W toward Crozet center (3 miles). At 4-way stop at Dairy Queen, turn right onto Crozet Ave/ White Hall Rd. Drive 2.1 miles and turn right onto Jones Mill Rd, just after Henley’s Orchard. Drive 1.2 miles to Sunset Farm Studio on left.  Alternatively, from Charlottesville, take Barracks Rd (Rte 614) 10 miles and turn left on Browns Gap Turnpike (Rte 680.) Stay straight on White Hall Rd (Rte 789).  Go 2 miles, just before Henley’s Orchard, turn left on Jones Mill Rd.  Studio is 1.2 miles on left.  Take gravel drive, park in the field to the right of the driveway and come to the studio in the “garage” building.
