Though delicate and ephemeral, flowers are used to commemorate some of the most momentous occasions of our lives, shared in marking everything from the occasion of our birth to the gathering at the end of our life. They have the power to anchor memories so strongly that even just a fragrance from a treasured flower can bring back whole summers spent, people loved, places discovered.
Artists have been inspired by the beauty of flowers for centuries, and I follow in their footsteps, creating realistic botanical sculpture in mixed media. My pieces capture the delicate beauty of flowers in arrangements and in dimensional wall-mounted presentations.
